Hey there,
I’m Dani! I offer an open, non-judgemental space where adults, teens and couples can speak honestly about their thoughts and experiences while working towards their personal and collective goals. I often incorporate mindfulness and somatic (body-focused) exercises in therapy, as I have seen the way those practices aid in regulating emotions, fostering a sense of safety in the nervous system, and releasing the stress (and trauma) held in the body.
As a queer, trauma-informed and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I enjoy working together to deconstruct the social scripts, pressures and ‘shoulds’ that often get in the way of our growth, healing and liberation. With that breaking down comes a unique opportunity for self-exploration and discovery of what you truly want in your day-to-day life and what support systems can help you along the way.
Some areas that I am especially passionate about working with are anxiety, depression, life-transitions, self-esteem, gender identity, sexuality, relationship dynamics, existential questioning, grief/loss, sexual trauma and chronic pain.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, meaning that I cater it to your unique history, values, goals and preferences. Some styles of therapy I tend to incorporate are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy and Sex Therapy.
I know that seeking support can be a challenging and confusing process. I am here to meet you where you are at, with care and compassion
